What are the best nets to use when building a pigeon hide? Who else could we ask other than Andy Crow for advice on this query…
QWhat are the best nets on the market for hide building? There are so many different ones to choose from.
AAndy Crow replies: I have used military surplus scrim nets for many years and still do, but I also use modern ‘stealth’ nets that allow you to see out without birds seeing in.
I see nets as layers – I rarely use only one. And I have a selection of colours: dark green, light green and sandy. This allows me to build into summer rape, stubbles or even an evergreen hedgerow. I blend different colour nets together and use local foliage to complete the look.
