Two of the shooting world’s biggest names – Peter Wilson and Ian Coley – have been recognised in the Queen’s New Year’s Honour List.
Olympic gold medallist Wilson and Team GB shooting coach Coley were both awarded MBEs in this year’s list.
Wilson, 26, won the London 2012 men’s double trap final at the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, under the watchful eye of Coley, 65, who receives his honour for services to clay target shooting.
Sporting Shooter would like to join the rest of the shooting fraternity in congratulating these two Olympic heroes.
