Chef and shooter Mark Gilchrist has developed a smartphone App to allow stalkers and rabbit shooters to log what they have shot and where.

Simply tap in what you have shot as you go along, then when you get home, connect the phone to the computer and download a .kml file. Opening it up with Google Earth will show you where you have been and what you have shot.

“It is a great way to keep track of which parts of the land you have been on and an even better way to inform your farmers, members of your shoot or land agents what you have shot and where,” says Mark. “It also has a boundary mapping function.”

The App covers all the deer species and wild boar. You can also use it for pheasants, grouse or woodcock.

It is �2.99 and is available in the Google Play Android Market and the iPhone App Store.
