The CPSA and Eriswell Lodge have launched a sponsorship scheme to support young skeet shooters in England
A new partnership will offer young skeet shooters up to 5,000 free cartridges as part of efforts to encourage more under-21s into competitive shooting.
The CPSA and Eriswell Lodge shooting ground are offering a joint sponsorship opportunity, which will also include free CPSA membership and entries to major championships.
Stuart Smith of Eriswell Lodge said the initiative was prompted by his observation of limited junior participation in major competitions. Rising shooting costs have made the sport increasingly expensive for young competitors.
Mr Smith said: “We are extremely pleased to be working with the CPSA to search for the next young skeet shooting talent in England, and to assist in developing their skills as they take the next steps into the discipline.”
Recipients must commit to competing in at least 10 registered English skeet competitions during the
sponsorship year. Young shots who already receive industry backing will not be eligible.
CPSA chief executive Iain Parker said: “We’re excited to launch this initiative with Eriswell Lodge, giving colts and juniors the chance to train, compete and thrive in skeet shooting. Supporting young talent is key to growing the sport.”
Applications open on 1 September and close on 30 November 2025, with recipients announced before the 2026 season begins.
