Eley Hawk have maintained operations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to guarantee the continued supply of cartridges to shooters and dealers alike
Eley Hawk have maintained operations in their Birmingham premises throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with government guidelines to guarantee the continued supply of cartridges to shooters and dealers alike.
Eley Hawk’s Managing Director, Rodrigo Crespo, commented: “We are delighted with the effort of our staff here at Eley HQ in the Midlands, who have respected and abided to health and safety measures to ensure that production of our cartridges has remained continuous throughout these challenging past 12 months.”
Anticipating an understandable shortfall in options available to the market in the coming months, Eley have placed themselves ahead of the curve and have excellent stock in all clay, game and pest control loads ready for dealers to provide their customers come the easing of lockdown. “It has not been an easy task,” admitted Rodrigo. “One of the biggest difficulties has been to limit the number of personnel in the factory, operating machinery with the very minimum levels of staff whilst not compromising on quality.”
Eley Hawk Production Manager, Martyn Powers, who celebrates his 41st year at the company, also commented: “We have been very lucky to have had continued supply of our top-quality components from our suppliers, from cases to heads and raw materials, when we know there has been difficulty nationwide, not just in the shooting industry. Therefore, we have made no substitute components and have continued to produce the premium loads synonymous with our brand.
Renowned game shot and ambassador for Eley, Gerwyn Jones added: “I am delighted to hear that there will be no shortage in cartridges from Eley as I am using the Zenith for all of my pest control and game shooting. When restrictions allow, I will be shooting pigeons regularly and it’s so important to have a cartridge you have total faith in if you are to control numbers effectively, and for me the Zenith offers exactly that.”
All cartridges are available now in Eley stockists and from online cartridge retailers and vary in price.
