Visit the Midland Game Fair in September for the ultimate in championship finals
Now in its 30th year, the Midland Game Fair offers the most comprehensive shooting sports and championship portfolios in the national sporting calendar and will be taking place at Shropshire's Weston Park on the weekend of 15 and 16 September.The Midland brings together the worlds of airgunning, clay sports and traditional field sports to the masses, with thousands of competitors getting involved and taking part. 2012 at the Midland Game Fair offers a superb championship line-up including the grand finals of the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Clay Shooting and Gundog Championships, the European Field Target Championships, the Terrier and Lurcher Champion of Champions and the ATEO Junior Airgun Championships too.Food Festival:With superb feature areas hosting an array of country and lifestyle displays, this year's Midland has an exceptional Food Festival, selling a variety of home-grown and traditionally sought produce. In addition to the many food stalls and exhibitors, Mark Gilchrist, Sporting Shooter's very own chef and director of Game For Everything, will be on hand. Mark is a great spokesman for country sports as he shoots much of the game he cooks, and during the weekend he'll be demonstrating game preparation and cookery and offering advice on how to source, prepare and cook game.Working Dog Village and Terrier and Lurcher Village:The Midland isn't just an event for the people in your family; it's a fun day out for the dog, too! Whatever your skill, there are many activities for you and your dog to enjoy, such as agility shows and the amazing Rockwood Dog DisplayTeam.Fishing Arena:This offers anglers of all disciplines the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the sport among some of the most well-known faces in the angling world.
