Dan Bishop secured the 2025 Pro One Challenge title after a dramatic sudden-death finale at Barbury Shooting School, Wiltshire
Dan Bishop emerged victorious at the 2025 Pro One Challenge following a thrilling sudden-death finale at Barbury Shooting School, Wiltshire. The Hull Cartridge Company-sponsored event attracted over 1,100 competitors to tackle the demanding 120-bird sporting course across 15 stands. Forty traps threw nearly 140,000 clays throughout the competition, which ran from 6-9 August.
Dan Bishop’s commanding 115 on the main round, shot on the morning of the final day, gave him a two-target advantage heading into the Super Six final. He was joined by Richard Faulds and Martin Myers on 113, with Shaun Stacey, Robert Allen and James Attwood all on 112.
After 25 additional targets in the final, Bishop and Attwood were tied on 133/145, forcing a sudden death shoot-off. Bishop held his nerve to claim the title in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
The competition used traditional sporting, super sporting and single stands across the school’s grounds, plus adjacent new terrain. Trade exhibitors including Perazzi, Blaser, Beretta and Swatcom supported the event’s bustling trade village.
“We are delighted to be able to work with the industry’s leading brands and thank all those who came and supported the event,” said Barbury Shooting School’s general manager Josh Brown.
Next year’s Pro One Challenge runs from 5-9 August 2026, with entries opening on 1 January.
