Heather Dunmall takes ladies high gun for the second year running, and a tough competition provides high scoring champions in the prep- and overall senior-categories…
Heather Dunmall has, for the second year running, won the overall high ladies gun at the TSC Winter series final. Saturday 21 November saw the last of the Schools Challenge Winter Series competitions, hosted by The Oxford Gun Company, and turned out to be an exciting final round to the competition. Despite the wind the scores were high, and a high number of close scores from earlier rounds made it a tough competition. There were 200 entries into the Schools Challenge Winter series this year with an exceptional standard demonstrated throughout – even one prep shooter, Max Haywood from Bredon School, shot 49 ex 50.
Three overall High Guns were crowned champions of the Winter Series for 2015. Heather Dunmall took the overall Ladies with a score of 176 ex 200; Will Weaver won the overall prep, scoring 180 ex 200; and the overall senior category was claimed by Billy Baughan with an impressive score of 192 ex 200. All walked away with £1,200 worth of prizes thanks to Bowman Traps, ASI and Edgar brothers.
