Nuthampstead Shooting Ground once again hosted its Martin Barker Memorial Shoot, and despite trying times, attendees dug deep for a fantastic total sum of £2,791 raised for the Air Ambulance!
Nuthampstead Shooting Ground held their Martin Barker Memorial Shoot on Sunday 1 November 2020. The Shoot is an annual event set up with the aim of raising money for the Herts & Essex Air Ambulance.
On the shooting side there was an OT registered competition plus a pool shoot 2-person pigeon flurry. To help with the fund raising there was a raffle with lots of donated prizes and a cakes sale.
The competition was very well attended with 89 shooters booked on to the day. In the end, it was Matt Coward-Holley who was High Gun and winner of the trophy with Rod Gould 1 target behind.
With most of the cash prizes donated back into the collection bucket, the day raised a total of £2,791.
Nicky and Ed Barker wish to thank everyone who dug so deep into their pockets in what has been a difficult year. Martin was, and it is clear that he remains, an inspiration to many people in the shooting community.
