We love summer stalking – just a rifle, some binoculars and your stalking sticks. Glorious British countryside, warm weather – what more could you wish for? Well how about a close encounter with the UK’s prettiest deer.
Last summer I was out filming with the Fieldsports Channel. I was hoping to grass a fallow but couldn’t believe how close this doe and kids came. Even standing in full view, just by remaining still and quiet, the deer came to within a few metres. Proof that stalking isn’t always about pulling the trigger…
