I am worried about contracting Lyme disease from ticks when I go stalking. Any advice?
Q: I am worried about contracting Lyme disease from ticks when I go stalking. Any advice?
DOM HOLTAM replies: It is sensible to be cautious about ticks. You might want to consider Rovince clothing which is impregnated with an anti-tick treatment. Or maybe try using a device like the Tickless ultrasonic repellent?
Good boots and tight cuffs can help to stop them from getting onto you and, of course, remember to check yourself thoroughly after each outing. If you do find a tick, make sure you have a proper tick removal tool, such as the O’Tom tick twister, to avoid leaving the mouthparts in your flesh.
