This year’s Benelli Sp’Auto Championships will take place at the West Midlands Shooting Ground, Shropshire, on Sunday 19 May, after much positive feedback from last year.
The event is a Sporting shoot designed exclusively for semi-automatic shotguns. The course will comprise 120 targets over 14 stands. The Sp’Auto allows full use of the auto’s three-shot facility and stands will be presented as either three targets on the call of “pull” or two targets with full use of the gun. Some targets may be presented as pairs while others will be on report.
The 2013 Championships are once again being supported by Hull Cartridge, Steiner binoculars and CCI International. With a prize fund in excess of £7,000 (dependent on competitors using a Benelli, Beretta or Franchi semi-auto), an affordable entry price and a dynamic shooting format, the Benelli Sp’Auto is a unique, challenging and exciting clay shooting competition.
At the West Midlands Shooting Ground a maze of beautifully maintained paths leads competitors to the 80 plus stands, boasting over 200 clay pigeon traps, while the spacious Scandinavian style log cabin reception provides comfortable and relaxing facilities.
Shooters can enter the competition online, via www.benellispauto.co.uk or by calling GMK on 01489 579999 and requesting a postal entry form. The closing date for entries is Friday 10 May.
