It’s late August and Owen Beardsmore is out on crop protection duties, shooting troublesome Canada Geese under the new ‘general-license’. This particular farm gets persistent damage to cereal crops throughout the year from geese, and the summer harvest time gives him a chance to implement some control and reduce numbers prior to spring, in addition to providing some great early morning sport.
